System description

PolyDESTRAPPING is an intelligent robotic system designed to automatically cut, remove, and dispose of steel or plastic straps securing coils before they enter the ERW Tube Mill. Equipped with an advanced 3D machine vision system, the robot accurately identifies the strap position and, optionally, the coil leading edge to determine the optimal cutting point while preventing damage to the outer coil surface. Designed for continuous operation in demanding rolling mill environments, PolyDESTRAPPING enhances safety, increases process reliability, and eliminates manual strap removal operations.
