System description

PolyTEST is a fully automated robotic solution designed to optimize the cutting, handling, and delivery of steel samples directly from the cooling bed. By combining industrial robotics, 3D machine vision, and automated oxy-cutting technology, the system ensures accurate sample preparation while minimizing manual intervention and improving operator safety.
The robot automatically identifies the beam position, detects the optimal cutting point, performs sample and scrap cutting, retrieves the sample, and delivers it to the designated collection box. When required, the system can also execute a second sample cut, ensuring complete flexibility for different production requirements.
