Steel processing solutions for renewable energy

Turnkey solar pile manufacturing plant for Gerdau

About the system

As part of the construction of Gerdau’s first greenfield plant dedicated to the production of steel foundations for the solar industry, Polytec was selected to design and deliver a fully integrated production line dedicated to processing wide flange steel sections into solar piles.
The project includes a highly automated manufacturing system for cutting, drilling, marking, and bundling steel profiles, designed to combine maximum productivity, process reliability, and complete product traceability. The plant is organized into two independent production bays, each equipped with two parallel processing lines, for a total of four high-capacity automated production lines capable of supporting continuous manufacturing with optimized cycle times.
From raw material loading to finished bundle preparation, every stage of the process is centrally coordinated through Polytec’s automation and control systems, minimizing manual handling, improving operator safety, and ensuring consistent product quality.
